Derbyshire County Unison News : 29 July 2010
SAP Update
Unison and other trade unions met with Councillors and Senior Management on 28 July 2010 about the ongoing problems with SAP.
At this meeting the County Council agreed that they would make "CHAPS" payments to those workers who have been underpaid by a large amount and are in financial difficulties as a result. If you are in this position you need to contact your manager and insist that a CHAPS payment be made. This is an immediate payment into your bank account whereas a standard BACS payment will take at least 3 days to appear in your account.
The Council also agreed to meet any bank charges that you may have incurred because of late payment or underpayment of wages. This claim must be accompanied by a copy of your bank statement showing the charge imposed by the bank.
